Meet Daniel Taub; an International Lawyer and an Israel Diplomat

Daniel Taub is one of the most successful diplomats in the world. He was born in the UK but later moved to Israel. He attended University College in Oxford, and London as well as Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. This education has helped him achieve great things in life. In 1989 he moved to Israel and started working with the Israel government.

When he arrived in Israel, he started working with the Israel Defense Forces as a combat medic. He was also working in the international law division of the defense force. Taub also wrote president Chaim Herzog’s speeches.

Taub was later promoted to work at the foreign ministry. At the ministry, he has held many legal, political and diplomatic posts. Taub became the Principal Deputy Legal Advisor where he advised Israel missions to the United Nations in Geneva and New York.

Daniel Taub was also instrumental in many peace missions. He helped in the Israel- Palestine peace process by leading the negotiation between the two sides. He always employed his international law experience in the peace negotiation which eventually was agreed. Taub was also part of negotiation team that Israel put in the Israel-Syrian negotiations.

Due to his experience and hard work, Daniel Taub was appointed to be the ambassador to the UK. He was not surprised by the appointment as he was qualified and considering the UK as his motherland he accepted the appointment. He took his appointment papers to the Queen who was also happy to see Taub and congratulated him for the appointment.

The queen knew Taub’s ability, and she was confident the Israel United Kingdom relationship would grow and have a positive impact. As a result of his work, the trade between the two nations increased significantly. The trade amounted to $8 billion from 2011 to 2013.

Daniel Taub was also actively involved to teach Bible and Hebrew classes in Westminster as well as at the Church of England Synod. He also had outreach programs that reached UK Israel communities. Taub is also a great writer who writes much about Israel and the Middle East.

He writes great articles in the Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Times as well as the Huffington Post. On top of that, he lectures widely on negotiation theory and international law. Currently, he is a director at Yad Hanadiv Foundation.

  1. Handling diplomatic issues and making conversations around how best it is to have the right man for the time makes sense. Again since getting dark side of higher education that no one really wants to talk about, then it takes much more interests into account really. Since Taub is the man for the job, I think he should gain the trust of the leaders of ally nations.
